DRIP with frame laptop 12: an adjustable and fun 2-in-1 for schools

A laptop made of hard plastic will not turn the heads into a predominant market with sleek metallic patterns. But with its next 12-inch 2-1-1 laptop, the Computer Frame is not following aesthetics-it is after education buyers.

The frame just introduced laptop frame 12 to an initial event in San Francisco. The first convertible laptop of the company is created to be low cost and completely repaired. After some time with laptop 12, I discovered that it is not the only proof that the frame built the device with students and their approximate treatment, in mind.

Taking a feeling for laptop frame 12

The focus Edu becomes clear when you touch the laptop 12. The PC is fitted in a solid plastic chassis created to survive the dots and collisions. The whole package feels strong and bold, like a single block of tightly compressed ingredients surrounded by materials that absorb the friend. Being smaller than the standard laptop of the Clamshell 13 frame, the laptop 12 should feel lighter than the model.

Another SOP for the newest crowd: colors. The frame will sell laptop 12 in five colors: purple, pink, green, black and white. Plus, students will not lose what won its framework its reputation – port exchange – with laptop 12 accommodate four enlargement card bays for order modules first first on frame laptop 13. Two are in each side. These bays allow you to change the relative type and location of the ports in the car, changing to say, your USB for a USB-C or HDMI-Out in a given bay. (More German, for children? Bay also facilitate the arrangement of a striking port.)

Outside of the potential of making the port, laptop 12 is a basic 2-in-1 base that presents some surprises. Hang with 360 degrees allow you to easily grasp the screen in a first orientation of the tablets. The panel is a 12.2 -inch, 1200p touch screen that operates with an optional top. This is an ideal adaptation for elementary and high school environments, where almost all released laptops have touch screens. And 1200p should be more than in the relatively small screen size.

This It is certainly not what the entry level configuration will come, but all options should include a Wi-Fli Radio 6e and your choice between Windows 11 and one Distro Linux for the operating system.

The idea here is to give students just enough power to pass the classroom work quickly and reliably. For more intense work loads (say, in high school specialized environments or for search for college curricula), the frame has other options, of larger frame, larger frame. Director General, Nirav Patel, even half jokingly mentioned the possible attraction of laptop 12 for the most mature audience.

For the frame, the most important aspects of the laptop frame 12 are its repair and its ability to exchange into new modules. Through the product, the company wants to help reduce electronic waste, which can often be collected in schools. In the laptop presentation, the company went so far as to say that frame 12 is its “most repairable” model.

But for now, the frame refused to give the press an inner look at the PC. (Usually, we have to see the frame machines separated with motherboard, batteries, removable bezel and other sprinkled ingredients.) Also, the frame notes that specific laptop configurations are not completed, so we will have to wait anymore Many details.

Price also remain a mystery. Based on my practical experience, I would not be surprised if the laptop 12 landed for about $ 600, or a little cheaper, as an initial base model price. Meanwhile, the company plans to open a pre-porch for the product in April, with the shipments planned for the middle of the year.
