Dimon, 68, said he “had plenty of” virtual work when talking to students at Stanford University graduate school last week.
One student asked the bank executive for his derived and explanatory remarks from a city company that addressed the end of the hybrid work firm, which has become a common practice in the workplace in recent years, especially after the coronavirus pandemic.
He was asked by the student about tips on how to address the issue of virtual work.

“If you work in a restaurant, you have to be inside,” he said. “You may not all know that, but 60% of Americans have worked all the time.”
“Where did you get your packages in Amazon? Your beef, your meat, your vodka? Where did you get diapers?” He continued, referring to people who have never been able to work from a distance, even during the pandemic.
Dimon added: “You received UPS and FedEx and producers and agriculture and hospitals and cities and schools and nurses and sewers and firefighters and military. Everyone worked.”
Some workers both in government and in the private sector who have been allowed to work from distance since the pandemia have been critical for the office of return to the office in recent years.

There have been some who even left for return to the office request, which Dimon said he respects.
“We have 10% of our people who work at home full -time,” Dimon said. “We set up virtual call centers in Baltimore and Detroit. We made it to see if they would be effective. They are very effective. They work from home. They are mostly minorities. That is why we did it. It is a home run. “”
“But I don’t protect your right to tell me what Jpmorgan will do,” he added. “So you have a free market. You can do one thing. I can do another. That’s what is called a free market.”
JPMORGAN Chase had earlier announced that employees should return to the office five days a week, starting this month.
Dimon also said he wanted people to return to the office because “young people are being left behind.”

“It’s not like the first month you are working,” he said. “It is up to the second year you have fewer people, you are fewer tasks, you know less about what is happening, you have fewer conversations in the water coolant or the bar. So I’m leaving them behind. I will not do it. And have younger people, but not their bosses, I have a problem with it too.” “”
He also emphasized the importance of communicating with co -workers in the office that may not be possible with long work.
“As a management tool. When we meet in the morning, we talk, we have these debates, all day we are talking.” Hey, no, I checked for this, you are right about it, here’s what I think we should do. “Throughout the day, continuous updating, the constant part of the information.
